Highlights of My Life


  • Born in Asheville, NC
  • Parents moved to Poughkeepsie, NY when I was about 16 months old.
  • Attended Hyde Park Schools and graduated with a Business Diploma
  • Got my first job when I was 16 working in a upholstery swatch factory to earn money for a fringed suede jacket and some Christmas presents
  • My second job was out of high school in a factory that manufactured car parts.
  • Had a few unofficial boyfriends, but met my first "steady" BF at the same factory. Our relationship lasted about 2 years.
  • May 1974 - Got my first real job at the Taconic State Park & Recreation Commission as a stenographer
  • Moved out of my parent's house when I was 23.
  • 1979 - Less than a year later, moved down to Winston-Salem North Carolina and worked for Ferrell Realty Co.
  • Left there after a little more than a year and was hired by the City of Winston-Salem in the Traffic Engineering Department where I stayed for 3 more years.
  • July 1983 - Moved back to NYS to start a real relationship with a guy I met at my BFF's wedding.
  • January 1985 - started work at IBM, Fishkill.
  • My BF and I broke up and I met my first husband.
  • Married in May 1987.
  • Brought Aimee home in April 1987 (8-week old Peek-a-poo)
  • Bought a mobile home in August 1987.
  • Brought Chelsea home in August 1987 (8-week of Golden Retriever)
  • My first (and only) niece was born in March 1989.
  • Bought our first house in May 1989.
  • December 1990 - Brought Kody home, a 10-week old Sheltie
  • June 1992 - Brought Zoie home, a 6-month old Shih Tzu
  • June 1993 downsized by IBM.
  • June 1993 - Brought Myles home, a 7-week old Himalayan kitten
  • November 28, 1994 started at CyberChrome as an Office Manager.
  • May 1997 - Went on my first cruise (Bermuda)
  • August 1999 - Made it into Early American's Life 200 of the Country's Top Artisans Directory along with a color photo of my Theorem Painting
  • September 1999 - Invited to do a theorem Christmas Tree ornament for the Blue Room Christmas Tree at the White House
  • March 2000 saw Cher in concert in Raleigh, NC w/Ruth
  • October 2000 met Scott Cohen in N'Awlins.
  • March 2001 - Many pets and 13 years later my marriage broke up and we went our separate ways
  • August 2002 - Moved into an apartment in Tillson, NY
  • September 2002 - CyberChrome's office moved from Plattekill to Stone Ridge
  • May 2004 - Adopted Stella and Luca (sibling kittens) from Project Cat
  • July 2004 - Met my 2nd husband
  • November 2005 - Moved to New Jersey
  • May 2006 - Got engaged
  • May 2007 - Got married
  • May 2007 - Zoie, my Shih Tzu, went to heaven
  • June 2007 - My mother went to heaven
  • April 2008 - Bought my first luxury vehicle (Lexus)
  • April 2008 - Adopted Violet (an 8-month old flame pt. Himalayan) from Project Cat
  • October 2008 - Adopted Chandler (a 10-week old butterscotch LHD kittie) from K.I.S.S.
  • November 2008 - Myles, my sweet baby boy, went to heaven after 15 years
  • August 2009 - Adopted Kolby - the best doggie ever!!
  • October 2009 - Finally gave in and joined Facebook
  • June 2010 - Started this blog
  • August 2010 - Abandoned the blog as it wasn't acting right
  • July 1, 2013 - 1st day of unemployment, affectionately known as R-E-T-I-R-E-M-E-N-T
  • August 3, 2013 - Blog back up and running!
