This Girl is Crafty!

I loved paint by number kits when I was younger. Summers at the playground making potholders, lanyards and my favorite, plastic of paris molds, was my 2nd favorite time of the year (nothing beats Christmas).  As I got older, the crafts got a little more involved ... I went crazy over cross stitch and ceramics. Everyone in my family and all my closest friends received a cross stitch at one point and 3/4 of my Christmas decorations were created in ceramics class.  I continued to evolve, and in 1999 I ventured out into the craft fair circuit with framed art consisting of theorem paintings. That kept me very busy for 3 years.

I'm a dabbler, and consider myself a Jane of all crafts; master of none.  Two (2) of my favorite things to do are collect crafting/art supplies and purchasing all the books I can on arts and crafts that entice me.

Two (2) years ago I turned my laundry room into my craft studio and share it with my piggies Lola & Lulu, the W&D, miscellaneous bakeware that has no place in the kitchen due to lack of space, the vacuum cleaner, the house toolbox and anything else that I can't find room for elsewhere.  My work space is confined to a 4'x4' folding table in the middle of the room surrounded by an endless array of supplies.  It's a work in progress for sure.  Oh, and if you ever attend a party at my house during coat weather, your coat will end up in there too!

I will include links to any post on the subject of arts & crafts on the page, so refer back from time to time to see the latest.
